Guru Shikhar

Guru Shikhar is the highest alp in Aravalli Hills range as well as Mount Abu. The place is perfect to get an extensive view of the area in and around and is also famous for its temple of Guru Dattatreya which is the manifestation of Hindu godheads ‘Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva’ in one. Some find this place very peaceful and happening. The scenes will force you to take out your camera and click some snapshots and left yourself in a captivating frame. You visit this place for all seven days of the week. Also, manage to take around to nearby places like Peak Park, Thrill Zone Adventure Park, Etc. The option for Trekking or Hiking is also available in the mountain ranges. 


Nakki Lake

One of the major charismas of Mount Abu, Nakki Lake is a very pretty and cold water lake. It is a prehistoric holy place. By beliefs, the lake was dug out by Gods by just using their nails to hold shelter from fiend Banshkhali, anyway many such stories are there in making this lake. Nevertheless, this place is a great picnic spot for friends and families as well. The lake is also famous as Mahatama Gandhi’s clinker was submerged here leading to the establishment of Gandhi Ghat, which is also a popular monument here. You can also have a hassle-free stay near the lake as there are a lot of hotels nearby. Restaurants, eateries are also available, offering food at very reasonable prices. Last but not least, the fountain in the lake adds more to its beauty. Boat riding, Zorbing is also a doable thing with some charges applicable.

Achal Garh

The name raised for a fort and belongs to a primeval kingdom, originally built by the Paramara Dynasty sovereign. In the year 1452, this fort was reconstructed by Maharana Kumbha, the ruler of the Mewar kingdom and renamed it as ‘Achal Garh’. However, the fort is a supreme attraction for tourists nowadays. The main approach to this fort is pillared by two grey granite legs, which gives an engaging look that still shows the royalty and beauty of this majestic fort in ancient times. The fort walls and the astonishing view of the location give you the ultimate panoramic view of the surrounding. Moreover, you must also pay a visit to nearby temples, Jain Temple and Achaleshwar Mahadeva Temple. The nearby market visit must not be left untouched for collecting some keepsakes of your trip. 

Sunset Point

We can say, this is the most visited place by the tourists visiting Mount Abu. The sunset view from Aravalli Hills is foremost viewed from Sunset Point. The place is even featured in many Bollywood movies like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, etc. The so satisfying climate and the de-stressed atmosphere around here would woo anyone. 

Trevor’s Tank

Trevor’s Crocodile Park or Trevor’s Tank is a man-made crocodile breeding venue, located 5 km away from the main city. The entrance of this place is very amazing and interesting which would help you reduce your anxiety. Remember to visit the place at the starting of winter months November and December. Consider this place to be one of the bests, visited with your family or friends. The birdwatchers and snappers can get enough of breathtaking shots. The ticket price is Rs. 30 INR per person. Open all days with the timing 9am-5pm. We can say, Trevor’s Tank is one of the BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN MOUNT ABU IN THE STATE OF RAJASTHAN. 

Toad Rock

Why it’s called Toad Rock ?? This is the man-made name given to this naturally formed stone sculpture because it resembles the shape of animal Toad. The spectacular view while trekking to this hill will amaze you with its greenery and beauty and also adds some more fun to your trip. Toad Rock is an absolute place for all nature lovers, adventure enthusiast or a photographer. It is open for all days from sunrise to sunset with no entry charges for any nationality. 

Wildlife Sanctuary

The forest lies between the Aravalli Hills range was declared as a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1980 and covers an area of almost 288 sq. kilometers. You will see a lot of varieties of flora and fauna here, which will force you to centralize and have fun at the same time.  While having the expedition, you will unearth so many past habitations of lions and tigers, but as of now dominant catlike predator found here is Leopard. The other rare genus found here is wild boar, pangolin, wolf, hyena, jackal, common mongoose and langur, Indian fox and hare, sambhar, bear, jungle cat, porcupine, and hedgehog, etc. These forests are also said to the home for many birds also, around 250 species, but the most special and unique in this area is Grey Jungle Fowl. The Sanctuary is open for all the days, timings 9am to 5.30pm. You can also take the ride in Jeep, the Jeep Safari to experience the Wildlife Sanctuary with the charges of Rs. 300 INR per person.
