How to reach Mathura-Vrindavan-Govardhan from Jaipur

Road Journey:  Drive from Jaipur by taking the Agra Road Highway and drive to Kanota and cross Bassi afterward. The roads are good and broad on this route and lots of highway hotels to take a halt. There is a toll plaza at Rajadhek.  Drive through Bhandana and reach Dausa district. Take the bypass and reach Mehandipur where you can stop to visit Balaji Temple. Reach Madoli where there is a fork in the road. Take the left road and reach the Mathura bypass road and cross Senthra, Burawai, Rampur and Tartura towns on the way and reach Mathura city.

Jaipur-Mathura route

Jaipur- Kanota- Bassi- Rajadhek – Bhandana- Dausa- Mehandipur- Madoli- Senthra- Burawai- Rampur- Tartura- Mathura city.

Air Travel: Jaipur Airport to Agra Airport. Mathura doesn’t have any airport and the closest one is in Agra 47 kms away. From the airport you can take a Taxi ride to the holy city of Mathura. Major airlines like GoAir, IndiGo, and Spice-Jet have their flights on this route.

Mathura to Vrindavan route highlights

Mathura is well connected with Vrindavan via road. Best mode of transport preferred by most tourists is a private cab. People usually make Mathura their base and take a day trip to Vrindavan. In the evening they return to their hotel/stay at Mathura. You can even prefer to stay in Vrindavan as it has some good hotels.

Vrindavan to Govardhan route highlights

Govardhan is famous for its parikrama of Govardhan Hill. This parikrama is of 21 kms. But if you want to visit the holy places in Govardhan we would recommend you to take a cab on day trip from Vrindavan. Bus travels are also a good option for this short distance.

Direction: South-west side.

Mathura to Govardhan route highlights
