Haldighati is a mountain pass between Bagicha and Khamnore village located at Aravalli Range of Rajasthan in western India that connects Pali and Rajsamand districts. It is situated at a distance of 40 kilometers from Udaipur. This place called 'Haldighati' due to the turmeric-colored yellow soil.
Who Was Maharana Pratap

The Mewar was a region in north-western India in the present-day state of Rajasthan. Maharana Pratap belongs to a Hindu Rajput family. His Father was Udai Singh II and Mother was Jaiwanta Bai. His younger brothers were Vikram Singh, Shakti Singh, and Jagmal Singh. Pratap also had two stepsisters i.e. Man Kanwar and Chand Kanwar. Maharana Pratap was married to Ajabde Punwar of Bijolia. After the death of Udai Singh in 1572, Rani Dheer Bai wished that her son Jagmal become a Successor. But senior courtiers wanted that Pratap becomes their king because he was the eldest son.

Haldi Ghati is well Known for its Battle which was Indian History's Most disastrous war had been fought between Brave Maharana Pratap and the Soldiers of Akbar. It was not a battle for victory, it was the battle for Rajputana Honour . It was the time when Many of powerful kings of Rajasthan, including king of Jaipur, Bikaner and Boondi, were with Akbar and all of them has made some compromise with Akbar to barter peace but Maharana pratap Refused to compromise and Surrender. Mewar was important for akbar to establish a safe route to Gujarat through Rajasthan. When Maharana Pratap Refused to give Mewar to Mughals than the Pride of battle took Place.After all efforts by Akbar to win over Rana Pratap failed, the Mughal king sent his son Salim to lead the battle. Aided by the advisers of Maharaja Maan Singh of Jaipur, whose sister Jodha was the mother of Prince Salim, the Mughals amassed their force in the valley. The great Rana, too, had been looking for such an oppurtunity.
The Mountain Pass is an important historical place. It is the place of the Battle of Haldighati, that took place in 1576. Battle of Haldighati was done between the Kingdom of Mewar and the Mughal Army led by Prince Salim & king Mansingh. Maharana Pratap led the armed forces of Mewar. The armed forces of Mewar were against the Mughals.
